Come on down to Hamtramck for three days of fun as the city holds its 31st annual Labor Day Festival, Sept 3-5.

Welcome to the city of Hamtramck. For the past three decades we've celebrated Labor Day weekend with a festival on the Main Street of Joseph Campau, and the only difference for 2011 is that it will be better than ever.

This year's celebration features the revival of yacht races down Jos. Campau (a Hamtramck tradition), a 5K run we like to call the Golab-K and an assortment of crowd-pleasing events for kids and adults of all ages.

Also going on this year are special performances by The Contours featuring Sylvester Potts, Big Daddy Lackowski & the La Dee Das, The Polish Muslims, Dave Hamilton Band and the world-famous Danny D Live – Rod Stewart Impersonator.

As always, there will be plenty of music, food and fun. With two separate stages, booths from a number of restaurants and a full line-up of carnival rides, there's never a dull moment at the Hamtramck Labor Day Festival.
